What is french scouts?

French Scouts, also called Scouts et Guides de France (SGDF), is a French Scouting organization created in 2004, following the merger of two major historical associations: the Federation of Catholic Scouts and the French Protestant Scout Federation. It is a co-educational movement that aims to help young people to develop their personality, their sense of responsibility, and their ability to act in society based on the Scout method. The organization is open to all without distinction of origin, nationality, race, or belief. It has approximately 100,000 members in more than 120 different departments in France and overseas territories. The French Scouts have a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility and tend to focus on outdoor activities, service projects, and international solidarity. They are also involved in various areas such as the fight against inequality and climate change. The French Scouts organize annual jamborees and camps, where they meet with other scouts from all over the world.
